| Is it wrong of me to hate a band because they use movie sound clips? I REALLY like the music these guys make, the lyrics are very poetic and I they do an absolutely amazing job of structuring their songs. | I think I've managed to track down the band you're talking about...wasn't able to find that specific song, but, from what I did find...they do have a problem with sampling movie quotes innapropriately...in the sense that it really doesn't contribute much of anything to the song. Truthfully, few bands make a habit of doing this actually manage to make it work. Skinny Puppy were pretty much the masters of this; they even had a side project(Doubting Thomas) that was devoted solely to making music that used literally hundreds of movie quote samples instead of lyrics/vocals....
